Job Brief:
We are looking for a Food Runner to join our team and facilitate collaboration between our kitchen and wait staff. In this position, you will be responsible for serving food orders, removing used dishes & utensils, and packing take-out orders. If you’d like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and promptly
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow
- Ensure all dishes are properly garnished and presented before delivery
- Assist servers with table maintenance, including clearing plates and refilling beverages
- Monitor dining room needs and respond quickly to guest requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations
- Pack take-out orders neatly and accurately
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is a plus but not required
- Attention to detail of food and plating before delivery to customers
- Physical ability and stamina to carry plates of food and stand for long hours
- Strong oral communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and a guest-first mindset
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be reliable and punctual
